Description

This town hall was erected in 1850, and demolished in 1913. It was in a Court Room in this building that the first Court of Quarter Sessions for the newly-created County Borough of Cardiff was held on 11 April 1890. The part fronting St Mary's Street as shown here, was a later addition. In 1915 new premises for the Co-operative Wholesale Society were built on this site.
