to take part in the concert to be held tonight by the St. David's Society. He is staying with his sister, Mrs. Tilly Bodycombe Hughes, well-knowtontralto, in Oakland. The Democrats won a large victory in this state last Tuesday. Some of the mills are running half-time. It is the experience in Pittsburgh that, in the past a Democratic victory has slowed the wheels of business in the city. Joseph D. Jones received a bouquet of chrysanthemums on his 8lth birthday. His coworkers prepared an excellent meal for David D. Jones atthe fire departnent on his 246 anniversary with that deparhnent. Mr. and Mrs. D. Parry Jones returned home safe from their honeymoon in the east. They are living at the Arvon aparffirents on Dunseith St- The wife of Deacon Owen Jones is slowly recovering from pneumonia. The Rev.Ilerbert Parry, M. A. of New York is lecturfug on D. Lloyd George at the \trelsh Baptist Church on Chatham Street on Saturday, November 21, sponsored by the Ladies' Aid Arxiliary of the St David's Society. One hundred beautifttl pictures of different plaees in Wales will be displayed. It was sad to hear ofthe death of Mrs. Hannah Francis, widow of Joseph Francis (Maesyddog) on Wednesday after some illness. She was 55 years old. She was buried yesterday afternoon with the Rev. E. L. Hughes officiating. He is the minister of Oakland church of which the departed was a member. More details will be forthcoming.
