Some of our daily newspapers are complaining that taxes in Allegheny County are higher than in any
other count5r of the state, and they blame the leaders of the Democratic Party for that. Scores, if not hundreds, of Welshmen work in the tin mills of this city, most of those who have come from the old counby. It is sad that only one of every five of them attend any Welsh chapel, nor any other ehapel. It is difficult to believe that so many of our compatriots, most of whom having had so many privileges in Wales, are contempfuous of the religious privileges of this crty.
