Description

The sculpture was carved on the site in July 2014 by Ben Dearnley. However the hole was machine cut.
It shows destruction on one side and forest on the other. It depicts the Cantre’r Gwaelod myth and also lines up with the solstice.
The slate came from Aberllefenni and is approximately 150 million years old. The slate is from the last of the granite boulders.
