Description

John Jenkins of Swansea, born in 1895, was one of seven brothers who enlisted in the army in 1914. He served with the Welsh Regiment, but was reported as missing in action, presumed dead, in France on 24 March 1918. He is remembered with honour on the Arras Memorial, and also, along with his brother Stanley (d. 9 May 1915) on his parents' grave in Cwmgelli Cemetery, Swansea.
