Description

Pte Joseph Davies, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Davies, was killed on the first day of 'The Battle of Loos', 25 September 1915. His unit 9/RWF was part of the 19th Division, which although not directly involved, were to launch a diversionary attack north of the La Busse Canal.
