Description

Hugh Rhys Hughes, Mur Poeth, Rhoslefain received a Commemorative medal in recognition for his part in the campaign against the Germans fleet in the attack off the coast of Jutland. Hugh Rhys Hughes was John Daniel Hughes' brother. They both survived the Great War but John Daniel Hughes was shot in the leg and was crippled for the rest of his life.
