Description

This long montage, about 3m / 15 feet long, shows, from the Allied side, the front line running from the sea at Nieuport on the left through to the northern edge of the Ypres Salient on the right. The details in the picture date it to October or early November 1914. It was brought back from the Western Front by Benjamin George Reed, a soldier from Newport.
